Been busy recently with life here....not much travelling as many of my friends would expect me to do. Rather... i have been exploring recipes....haha.
Yes mum, do expect me to come back a more powerful "cooker" than you are.... so you better buck up now. You wouldn't want your teenage son to over take you...:)
No life?.. Maybe. But i miss the food in Singapore, and i just can't find what i want here. Or even if i find it, its either going to be damn ex, or laden with plenty of sodium and saturated oils. Home cooked meals are wonderful, it gives me control.
Wonder if i would cook back home?... Or will i go back to leading the fast-paced lifestyle?

Passenger Vent Window
Do you know that the small triangular window pane by the passenger seat is called the Vent Window?... I never knew that too. For the past 25years of my life, i just called it "the small window".
So why the sudden interest?
Simple...my car got broken into last night. And yep, the robber broke in through the vent window by the passenger seat. Ransacked my car, and he made off with nothing. Thankfully, i do not have the habit of putting valuables in my car... and neither do i have the fetish of installing the swank-iest audio system with ah-beng level bass speakers.
Funnily, i was pretty calm about it upon the discovery. Neither was i pissed. On the contrary, i was quietly happy about it. I was happy that my loss was only a small window, and not the entire car!...
Well, but it disrupted my work day. Was pretty distracted....was busy sourcing for a reliable auto-glass dealer...got a couple of recommendations from colleagues and friends all around. Finally travelled down to a mexican-run auto glass dealer in San Jose.
This place is beautiful, and is a land of opportunities. But it is times like this when i appreciate the life i used to take for granted in Singapore.

Food blog
In recent days, i realized i have unknowingly been visiting this food blog(http://eatbma.blogspot.com/) almost everyday to keep up with the good food in Singapore.
Coincidently, the author is a Californian residing in Singapore, and i am a Singaporean residing in California. He goes round taking pics of his dinners(probably lunch as well!) with his mobile. Always looks so appetizing...keeps my mouth watering, and constantly missing the diverse variety easy accessibility of food in Singapore!
